The best Malibu ever…
When Chevrolet was designing the new Malibu it was building more than a better Chevy; it was aiming to create the best midsize car on the market. With a bold new design, advanced powertrains and class-leading features, the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu is the new benchmark.
The all-new 2013 Chevrolet Malibu (MSRP $21,995) features a sharp new exterior design that improves aerodynamic efficiency and turns heads. Exterior features like the wide stance, integrated rear spoiler and taillamps share DNA with cars like the Camaro and the Corvette. The new wide body gives the Malibu and athletic and sporty look and provides more interior space at the same time. The new shape also makes the 2013 Malibu the most aerodynamic Malibu Chevrolet has ever created.
The new Malibu comes in eight trim levels: LS, 1LT, Eco 1SA, Eco 2SA, 2LT, 3LT, 1LTZ and 2LTZ. Engines include an Ecotec 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, which is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Together, the combination is good for 197 hp (more power than a Honda Accord or a Toyota Camry) and 34 mpg on the highway. An available new 2.0-liter turbocharged engine is perfect for those who want even more power. The turbocharged four-cylinder features direct injection and makes 259 hp and 260 lb/ft of torque. For buyers looking for the highest levels of fuel efficiency the Malibu Eco with eAssist light electrification technology delivers an EPA-estimated 25 mpg city and 37 mpg highway, or up to 580 miles of highway driving. Neither the Camry nor the Accord can match that combination of power and efficiency.
The interior of the newest Malibu has been designed to be roomier, more refined and more luxurious than any Malibu before. The wider body makes for a larger and more spacious interior – the Malibu offers more front headroom than the Camry, more rear legroom than the Hyundai Sonata and more rear shoulder room than an Accord – while the addition of intelligent storage spaces helps to maximize utility. A six-inch-deep storage cubby behind the seven-inch touch-screen display adds hidden storage for high-value items; this interesting feature is a first for a U.S. midsize car. Interior details like the trim work in metallic, chrome or wood combine with the dual cockpit design to create a feeling of sophistication and luxury. French contrast stitching, soft-touch surfaces and enhanced sound deadening materials all attribute to the impressive refinement of the new Malibu.
The Malibu has class-leading safety features, as well. With features like 10 standard airbags, available Lane Departure Warning system and a rearview camera, the new Malibu earned a “2013 Top Safety Pick” from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and a five-star overall rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Of course, all Malibu models come equipped with the OnStar telematics system that features Automatic Crash Response. In the unfortunate event of a collision, you can rest assured that help will be notified immediately. No other car in the segment offers a system that can compare to OnStar.
The best Chevrolet Malibu ever is also one of the best cars on the road today. With advanced powertrains, impressive fuel economy and unsurpassed safety, it is easy to see the advantage the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu has in the market. Come in and test the advantage for yourself.
